There are a lot of Sattu Brands available in the market but for mine I have used the Sathu Maavu of Home Kouzina brand.
Try this simple recipe created for my husband and daughter who love eating oats and granola bars. Anything from the market is processed so we came up with the idea of marrying the healthy with taste. It is also a good replacement for a quick breakfast with a twist and can be had on the go.

This recipe was taught by my south Indian cook in Bangalore and a very simple one. We would be getting late for office and she would quickly make this for our tiffin. This also became one of my kids favorite and sometimes they even make it themselves. It’s that easy. But I added my own twist into this recipe to make it simpler.

This is one of my favorite soups that I learnt from mom. It is a hit at all our parties in winter as it is not very heavy soup. It’s also a very sneaky way to add in vegetables and feed your kids (I do that every time). No matter what the weather is, this soup ought to make you feel cozy. This soup also has a lot of health benefits as there is spinach involved (you get iron like iron man 😉 )
Ingredients
One chopped onion
Two cloves garlic chopped (optional)
One cup blanched spinach – in a puree
Half cup milk
One tablespoon corn flour (can replace with oat flour also)
300 ML water (approximate)
One tablespoon butter + a few drops of oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated cheese for garnishing
Method
Blanch the spinach and puree it
Sauté the onion and garlic (if using) in little butter and few drops of oil
Add the spinach puree and sauté it with onion and garlic
Add water and give it boil
Mix corn flour to milk and to the Boiling mixture
Keep stirring so that lumps are not formed
Simmer for some time
Add salt and pepper and mix and adjust consistency as per your liking
Switch off the gas
Serve the hot soup with grated cheese or croutons
No matter what the weather is, this soup ought to make you feel cozy in no time. My whole family enjoys this soup and comes for seconds in seconds (you get it?) but on a serious note this soup will be one of the heartiest soups you will ever make.
